Business Process Optimization Manager

ROMTech is now looking for a Business Process Optimization Manager to drive operational excellence by designing, standardizing, and improving end-to-end business processes across departments. Sitting within the Quality Control division, this role is pivotal in ensuring our workflows are efficient, scalable, and aligned to delivering high-quality outcomes for patients, providers, and internal teams. 

You’ll be the architect of process optimization—mapping core business functions, identifying inefficiencies, implementing automation tools, and championing a culture of continuous improvement that supports growth, compliance, and consistency. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Process Mapping & Documentation 
    • Lead the creation of visual and detailed documentation of core business workflows (e.g., patient onboarding, device fulfillment, insurance verification, etc.). 
    • Standardize process documentation using tools such as Lucidchart or Visio for clarity and cross-team alignment. 
    • Maintain a centralized, version-controlled repository of operational workflows. 
  • Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement 
    • Conduct data-driven process analysis to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies using Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies. 
    • Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor process health and improvement opportunities over time. 
    • Facilitate workshops and feedback loops to identify gaps and collaboratively improve execution across functions 
  • Automation & Tool Implementation 
    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation and workflow tools to eliminate manual tasks and streamline high-volume operations. 
    • Partner with IT, Operations, and Engineering to ensure integration, adoption, and long-term success of process automation efforts. 
  • Cross-Functional Partnership 
    • Collaborate with Clinical, Product, Revenue Operations, and Customer Experience teams to ensure process solutions are practical, adopted, and scalable. 
    • Provide change management support and process training to impacted teams as new workflows are rolled out. 
  • Success Metrics 
    • Reduction in process cycle time and manual handoffs. 
    • Adoption of standardized documentation and automated tools across teams. 
    • Increase in operational efficiency and task accuracy. 
    • Measurable cost/time savings from implemented improvements. 
    • Internal stakeholder satisfaction and reduced rework or compliance gaps. 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in process improvement, quality management, or business operations—preferably in healthcare, MedTech, or other regulated industries. 
  • Demonstrated success driving large-scale process change and tool implementation. 
  • Familiarity with quality frameworks and compliance standards in medical or healthcare environments is a plus. 
  • Strong process mapping and documentation skills using industry tools. 
  • Proficient in AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance productivity, creativity, and problem-solving in day-to-day work. 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of business process management (BPM), workflow tools, and automation software. 
  • Analytical thinker with experience using data to influence decision-making. 
  • Strong communicator and facilitator capable of leading workshops and cross functional projects. 
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. 
  • Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio). 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
