Position Overview:
ROMTech is looking for an experienced, results-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is a full-time, remote position reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement review.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and cost management.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring proper coding, classification, and accuracy of financial transactions.
- Oversee the fixed assets accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and disposals.
- Assist in revenue recognition procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Utilize and enhance financial systems and accounting software to improve efficiency and streamline financial processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and procedures, and implement improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including working closely with the finance team and other departments.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is a plus.
