ROMTech is redefining post-surgical recovery through innovative, remote rehabilitation technology. As our Junior Instructional Designer, you will support the development of learning content that educates, certifies, and empowers both internal teams and external partners through ROMTech University and the Academy.
You will collaborate with senior instructional designers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and maintain engaging, interactive, and accessible training programs that align with product updates, compliance standards, and operational best practices. This role focuses on content creation, project execution, and continuous improvement of learning resources.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging, SCORM-compliant e-learning modules, assessments, and interactive learning experiences for internal and external audiences.
- Support design and maintenance of certification programs for role-specific development and compliance.
- Translate technical and operational subject matter into clear, effective training content across modalities (video, visual, written, interactive).
- Help maintain the centralized training library with proper version control and accessibility.
- Update training materials in response to product enhancements, regulatory changes, and SOP updates.
- Track learner feedback and content usage to support quality improvements.
- Design with accessibility, usability, and outcomes in mind—ensuring content is engaging, inclusive, and easy to consume.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and operational leaders to validate accuracy and instructional quality.
- Align learning objectives with performance outcomes, ensuring training drives behavior change and operational impact.
Success Metrics:
- Timely delivery of assigned content projects.
- Accuracy and quality of developed learning materials.
- Positive learner feedback and engagement scores.
- Proper maintenance of version-controlled training resources.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in instructional design, training, or content development (internship or academic project experience acceptable).
- Experience working in healthcare, MedTech, SaaS, or operationally complex organizations preferred.
- Portfolio or samples of academic or professional training projects preferred.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
- Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
