Supervising Nurse Practitioner

 Position Overview:
ROMTech, through its subsidiary ROMTherapyTM, delivers an innovative, first-in-kind home-based Cardiac Rehabilitation program using telemedicine and connected medical devices. This is a medically directed and supervised program designed to improve a patient’s physical, psychological, and social functioning. The ROMTherapyTM Cardiac Rehabilitation program utilizes supervised exercise, risk factor modification, education, counseling, behavioral modification, psychosocial assessment, and outcomes assessment.
 
ROMTherapy is now looking for a highly resilient and professional Supervising Nurse Practitioner to work collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and the Cardiac Rehabilitation team. The Supervising Nurse Practitioner will triage communication from the team and determine patient need for advanced intervention as they see fit. This is a remote, full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Remain immediately available to review clinical needs of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialists (CRSs), for both emergent and non-emergent medical consultation during patient care hours. 
  • Review, interpret, and advise the CRSs on clinical urgency as needed.
  • Collaborate with the CRSs to solve clinical problems and communicate with referring health care practitioners and/or emergency services as needed. 
  • Continually gather, review and report patient data including, but not limited to trends, specific issues, and clinical data to leadership.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner with at least 5 years of clinical practice experience and management of emergent and non-emergent patient care.
  • Must be highly compassionate and empathetic.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including both written and verbal.
  • Consummate professional in all interactions, both written and verbal.
  • Additional knowledge and experience with the following are highly preferred:
    • Clinical epidemiology.
    • Clinical Nursing.
    • Chronic Disease Management.
    • Exercise physiology.
    • Cardiovascular pharmacology and rhythm etiology.
    • Basic biostatistics and ability to interpret data from clinical team.
    • Experience executing clinical triage based on patient presentation.
  • Proven proficiency with relevant information technology systems including electronic medical records, telehealth platforms, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Experience and the ability to collaborate successfully with team members and stakeholders through digital platforms (Zoom, Slack, Teams, email, etc.).
  • Licensure in good standing to practice medicine in state of residence, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid/CPR, required.
  • All life support certifications must be completed through the AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Possess all necessary credentialing documentation for medical malpractice and liability insurance or be willing to work with internal team to obtain.
  • Ability to become duly licensed in all 50 states as required.
  • Must have reliable, high-speed internet connection.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
