ROMTech was founded in Brookfield, Connecticut, with a simple but ambitious goal: make high-quality rehabilitation accessible to every patient, no matter where they live. Since 2013, under the leadership of CEO and co-founder Peter Arn, we’ve grown from an early-stage medical technology company into a recognized leader in technology enabled telerehabilitation — earning our tagline, The Modern Technology of Rehabilitation^®.

Traditional physical therapy asks a lot of patients recovering from surgery: multiple trips to a clinic each week, transportation and mobility barriers, and long gaps between sessions causing progress to stall. We believed technology could close that gap — putting clinically supervised therapy directly into patients’ homes without sacrificing the oversight and data clinicians rely on.

That belief became the PortableConnect^® System, our patented Adaptive Telemed Technology. The PortableConnect System connects patients recovering from procedures like total knee and hip replacements — and, increasingly, cardiac patients — with clinician-guided therapy sessions from the comfort of home. Every session generates real-world data that helps clinicians track progress, adjust care, and improve outcomes.

As demand for the PortableConnect System has grown, so has ROMTech. Alongside our manufacturing site in Brookfield, Connecticut, we’ve established a professional office in Clearwater, Florida — expanding our team’s reach and supporting the company’s continued growth across the country.
